Introducing salsa, a dance of bodies in conversation.
The beauty of salsa first arrived in New York in the 1950’s. From the combination of Afro beat and Latino music, salsa which is considered a jazz, rocked the world with its passionate sexy dance moves. Steps borrowed from different Latin dances such as cha-cha-cha, samba, rumba, mambo and others brought Latino flavor to the dance. Sexy hip swings, complex foot kicking and tapping exhibitions and the sensual caressing like dancing created salsa’s own identity as the melting pot of Latin dances.
The hot and sexy flavor of salsa is vigor on a dance floor. Each passionate movement timed to a beat and rhythm of Latin jazz music can turn on people’s mode for romance. Salsa is like a potion that turn on people’s mode for romance. It can make a person look gentle, sexy and romantic. Above all, salsa is considered a life in motion, speaking words of love and romance.
Salsa dance is known for its expressive sensual dance moves. It requires movements from all parts of the body - foot, hips, hands, neck, shoulders. For salsa, each body-movement is a language that connotes meaning. It is a dance of communication, a body interaction initiated in a medium of music and beat where partners communicate using their body. Each body action has an equivalent response.
Learning how to dance salsa is so rewarding, watching couples spin their way around romance with its Latin beat. Aside from the experience of dancing with fiercely beautiful and sexy men and women, learning salsa is an asset for firming that body into a sexy shape. In addition, it can also serve as a creative fitness routine or work out for people needing a more active lifestyle.
Learning this dance means dancing through the Latino beat music with your desired partner. You can have the most intimate dance of your lifetime with whomever and however you want it to be. Moreover, aside from a romantic dream dance, salsa can provide avenues for creative therapeutic stress relieving and also for cardiovascular activities.
Learning how to dance salsa is now easy. There are many different tutorial dance videos in the internet that teaches step by step the basics of how to dance salsa. From sexy hip swings, weight change, steps, kicks, taps, hand flips and head turns - all can be easily learned by just simply downloading videos in the internet.
Actually, learning how to dance salsa is not a backbreaking activity. There are already various means to learn its basic moves. Simple steps and hip swings and others can now be easily acquired from tutorial dance videos over the internet. In fact, it is so easy to download.
However, the soul of this dancing is on how the dancers do their improvisation. Creative, free flowing, and surprising dance moves measured on a 4/4th beat is what makes salsa exceptional. Eccentricity is an asset on this ever evolving dance fashion.

Critics often dismiss Frank Sinatra as a mere ‘pop’ singer and don’t afford him the respect that they give to his contemporaries. He’s often accused of lacking technical vocal mastery and simply a singer who reworked a ‘formula’ over and over again. While Sinatra certainly knew what he liked and what worked for him, to belittle his artistry as a vocalist is unfair and displays a superficial knowledge of his body of work. Perhaps the finest example of his vocal excellence is his work with Brazilian guitarist Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Jobim is considered the founding father of Bossa Nova, and certainly deserves a bulk of the credit for popularizing the genre in North America. His collaboration with Sinatra on a samba tinged album Francis Albert Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim was a critical and commerical success. Sinatra had the highest respect for Jobim as an artist and liked him as a friend. He would try to work out the logistics for the two to record together at several points in his career, but it never came to pass.
“Wave”, written by Jobim and arranged by Eumir Deodato, is arguably the best of all of the Sinatra/Jobim collaborations. It features some great singing by Sinatra, including perhaps the lowest notes ever recorded by “The Voice”. Years later, during his periods of ‘retirement’ it is said that Sinatra would listen to “Wave” just to hear how good he sounds hitting the bass notes.
This song was to have been a featured track on a second collection of Sinatra/Jobim collaborations, but for some inexplicable reason it was never released as such. One story is that Sinatra himself nixed the release because he didn’t like the cover art. The photographer that insisted on posting Sinatra in front of a Greyhound bus mayhave been responsible for depriving the world of a second collection of Sinatra with a bossa nova twist.
“Wave”, along with the majority of the songs intended for the “Sinatra/Jobim” album finally surfaced on “Sinatra and Company” in 1970. The “b” side is some of Sinatra’s ill-fated attempts to cover popular songs of the day (”Close To You”, It’s Not Easy Being Green”, “Leaving On A Jet Plane”). These are recordings that even the most devoted Sinatra-philes collect for the sake of completing a collection only, and a stark contrast to the masterful work with Jobim on the album’s “A” side. “Wave” also appeared on the Reprise box set and of course of the “Complete Reprise Recordings” suitcase collection.
Critic Will Friedwald, who may have written more about Sinatra’s body of work than anyone, praised his recordings with Jobim as having a “flexibility and delicacy, as if they could be blown about by a soft Brazilian breeze”. In any case, the Sinatra/Jobim sessions certainly rank among the finest vocal work of Sinatra’s amazing career.

The Victorian Era came with calling cards to introduce yourself to your host. The closest thing we have to do that today is business cards but we are talking social not business here.
In those days, people would be properly announced when entering the home of the host and hostess of a dinner party. Gone too, are the Victorian dinner party etiquette manuals for hosting or attending such a dinner. Granted, those days had butlers and one spoke delicately about domestic solicitude, and when the servers took away plates and such, they moved as if they were wearing soft ballet shoes, so light was their touch and attitude as they moved noiselessly about. Guests on the other hand basically pretended that the domestics were not even there.
Today, the emphasis is no longer on the pretentiousness of the Victorian era, but rather making sure that both guests and hosts are relaxed, and that they enjoy each other, without interruptions by graceless and boorish behavior. This means that etiquette is still around but do know that good manners are still in fashion.
The necessity for inviting guests to a dinner party used to require that they were engraved on beautiful stationary and hand delivered by a servant. For a guest to respond to the invitation it was required that you respond immediately to the host with a formal response as well. Today we do not require that level of formality for anything other than a wedding or other formal affair but that does not mean that we have been reduced to the lack of consideration by using email for our invitations either.
It was customary to dress in your finest during Victorian times, but now, many dinner party invitations now stipulate a more relaxed atmosphere and may say that it is casual dress. We have retained, though, the etiquette that one should never dress in a manner that one ups ones host or hostess.
Good manners, also means that an invitation to a dinner party usually requires that you will give the hosts a small gift, such as flowers, or wine. Too, you will show up on time, not overly early, nor any later than ten minutes or so. Men should still seat their lady. Good manners also dictate that you use your napkin properly, and allowing the hosts to begin the meal by unfolding their napkin still signals that the meal has begun.
The act of a man standing when a lady rises from the table is not an outdated custom and still considered polite today. An area of custom that was never part of the etiquette rules are how we address technology. When entering a host’s home it is polite to turn off your ringer of all cell phones and only accept emergency phone calls. If you are expecting a potential emergency call it is polite to inform your host upon your arrival. Keeping your phone on vibrate in case of potential issues with babysitters is acceptable but keep in mind that should a call come in during your dinner party you are required to excuse yourself to a private location and not take the call in the presence of others.
Hosts need to be as ready as possible, anticipating that the food service will be taken care of properly, and if you need to adjust whats being served for special diets, do it graciously. Neither host nor guest should ever drink to excess.
Everyone commits a social blunder or faux pas every once in awhile. The trick when an error occurs is not to allow it to ruffle your feathers but instead make amends quickly and then move on with the occassion. Maintaining good manners as a guest will ensure that your social calendar is constantly being added to and you can enjoy all social occasions without any stress or worry.

We all know how well males love to talk about sports. Now sports fans, both male and female alike, can take part in online sports leagues based around cricket to extend the talk of televised games with their own excursions. In doing so, sports fans are able to even gain real rewards or prizes for doing exceptionally well.
Your current group of friends will be ecstatic to take the fun of normal cricket games and create new forms of entertainment through online cricket leagues. Fantasy leagues online will allow for more competition among sports enthusiasts to test their knowledge and luck, and in the process win them the all-important bragging rights over other friends.
The Internet has brought many people together from all over the world- including cricket friends. If your current host of friends don’t share much enjoyment for cricket, or simply are too busy for a fantasy league, you can find new cohorts online. Websites with fantasy cricket leagues are built to promote social interaction, which will bring you new contacts and friends to talk to about cricket topics.
If you feel like you are behind in cricket topics, joining a fantasy league is important. Missing a few seasons of cricket due to other dedications in life can quickly put you out of the cricket loop. By joining an online fantasy cricket community, you will be able to learn the statistics of new players, teams, and coaches. In effect, such leagues can act as a quick encyclopedia, with the only difference that it is fun to learn and use!
If you are good enough at managing your cricket team, you will be able to earn prizes at some select websites. Websites that offer prizes are usually large in size, so you will have to set yourself apart from many other cricket fans to get a real shot at the rewards given out. The rewards are a fun way of bringing new competition to an already established website, but keep in mind this varies from one league to another.
Even though some websites will charge you for using their fantasy cricket services, you will have the choice not to by going to other services. Even still, look into paid alternatives as they sometimes allow you to get an edge over others, qualify for better prizes, or give you access to better offers and material. Ultimately it is your decision on how dedicated you are to the sport.
Closing Comments
Remember that online cricket leagues are for pure entertainment and for making friends, not solely for earning rewards or gaining monetary value. Instead you should focus on having fun with your interests, and sharing the fun with your current friends and new ones you’ll find over such websites.

The next chapter in the Terminator saga is less then a month away. With so much excitement building I feel it is necessary to review the first three chapters in the story.
The first movie simply titled The Terminator was released in 1984 and almost immediately became a blockbuster hit. It stood out from the pack with its over the top special effects and its time traveling story. It was a huge success and spawned two, and now three sequels as well as a television show on Fox. The first movie was released on VHS and later on DVD. It included a minimal amount of bonus features on its initial DVD release, but would later be re-released as a special addition.
In 1991, the sequel, T2: Judgment Day was released in theatres. Surpassing the first movie, it was an instant hit breaking box office records. It maintained all the greatness from the first movie and expanded on the Terminators lore.
This time putting Arnold in the role of the Terminator, but as guardian of John Connor, it changed up what we were expecting as moviegoers. I remember hearing the rumor of Arnold being a good terminator and couldn’t believe it. I wasnt expecting that kind of twist. The special effects were again over the top and cutting edge. Things that we saw on that screen were unlike anything that had ever been seen before. It was a technological breakthrough and many things have gone on to be standard practice in the years since. The DVD was packed with all the history and special features that you have come to expect. It was all packaged in a cool metallic collectors sleeve. It was truly the way to own the movie.
Ten years later, the dark horse of the franchise, Rise of The Machines was released. It was by Terminators standards a flop, but with almost $400 million is ticket sales, it would have been considered a huge success for any other franchise. The DVD was packed with extras and was just as good as the first two releases. There will undoubtedly be a special Blu-ray version of each of the first three movies and will be even more awesome in all their high definition glory.
Hopefully the newest movie will return the glory to the franchise that I grew up loving.

Different countries celebrate Mother’s Day on different days, because this day has different roots of origin. To believe certain sources this day comes from a custom of mother worship in ancient Greece.
The ancient Romans also had a holiday, called Matronalia, and on this day mothers were given gifts. Besides the Mother’s Day, in many countries International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th.
The author of modern Mother’s Day holiday is known to be Anna Jarvis. In 1912 she trademarked phrases “second Sunday in May” and “Mother’s day”. She has also created the Mother’s Day International Association.
Anna Jarvis created this day to honor the mother, not mothers in general. Which means that, the day is dedicated for the mother of each person, and each person has to honor his own mother.
The day was not recognized as national holiday immediately. Anna Jarvis first held a memorial for her late mother in 1907. It was a private ceremony. Later she ran campaigns to make this day popular.
Mother’s Day became popular in 1910 when clothing merchant John Wanamaker financed the campaigns. The holiday spread as a day for mother appreciation. It has become accepted as national holiday by US President Woodrow Wilson on May 14, 2009.
To this day, after almost 100 years, Mother’s Day is one of the best known and widely celebrated holidays. We honor our mothers during this day and give them presents.
In the entire world people celebrate Mother’s Day, and even though the dates differ, it means the same thing. We remember our mothers and show them our love and how important they are to us.
As that day comes closer, we can start thinking about what we will do on this day, how we will show our appreciation to our mothers, what gift we will give her.

In an industry that’s driven by ideas, sometimes it can be impossible to have any ideas at all regarding film financing. As a writer and an artist I spend most of my free time engrossed in the creative process known as screenwriting. I develop characters, plot lines, and scripts all day long. I develop stories in the hopes that one day my work will be taken seriously enough to be financed by a major film studio.
Financing is a necessary evil in the art world. It is a rarity that filmmakers or screenwriters understand this side of the business, but to become successful, obtaining financing is a must. Not only is it difficult to get movie financing, but it is probably more difficult to come into contact with the people who make it all possible. This is where The Hollywood Dream Group come into play. Today, you are a mouse click away from living your own Hollywood dream. How is this all possible?
One day, I came across a website that introduced an opportunity that I had never seen before regarding film financing. Hollywood Dream is giving away several free opportunities to rub elbows with an elite group of Hollywood insiders and money people. This is a unique group that all have a vested interest in putting projects together driven by young up and coming screenwriters and filmmakers. Here, right in front of you is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a piece of the big pie!
The website Hollywood-Dream has a free contest for selected participants to meet the biggest motion picture financiers in Hollywood. Not to mention movers and shakers from Fox, Sony, Disney and many other major players in the motion picture industry. I signed up for my shot at it, because these kinds of opportunities don’t come along very often, and I thought the concept of putting fanciers and motion picture heads together with screen writers was smart. I am writing this article because I know how hard it is to find golden opportunities in our business. I think this is one of them. Hopefully, you can benefit from this information as well.
