The main character of the movie is a handicapped marine with the name Jake in the year 2154. On Pandora there a beings known as the navis who have sparkly blue skin and are 10 feet tall with tails and big eyes. The Avatar project, the one that Jake has signed up for, has created human-navi hybrids which can be linked and controlled by humans. The first thing that Jake does while controlling his Avatar is run as he hasn’t felt the motion of walking ever since he lost his legs.

Colonel Miles Quartich, Jake’s military commander, wants Jake to learn how the navis live and find out more about them as a covert mission operative so he can work on his strategic plans for an attack to capture the mineral deposits of unobtanium (which is a rare and expensive source of energy on Earth) which lies where the navis live. Dr. Grace Augustine however, who is the leading scientist on the Avatar Program has a different set of goals, which is to find out new things and scientific advances while working on a dipomatic solution to get the navis to move from their location to avoid a bloodshed.

Jake’s Avatar ends up finding his way to the navi tribe’s home after getting separated from his friends when getting attacked by a vicious beast. He is found by a young female of the tribe Neytiri, who is also assigned to teach Jake the ways of the navi after he is accepted by the leaders of the tribe. This is where the audience is pleased with extremely realistic visual effects and computer generated graphics as we follow Jake’s journey of learning which ends up making him fall in love with Neytiri.

Amazing 3-D graphics and imaginative scenes takes the audience through the battles as Jake leads the navis in a counter-attack against the human attack who decide not to wait for Jake to solve the problem diplomatically but go ahead and blast the tribe with missiles. The navis lose the first battle, however when Jake unites all the navi tribes against an all out battle against the humans, the navis win and Jake permanently becomes a navi to live on Pandora forever.

The movie Y Tu Mam Tambin is a famous Mexican movie that was released in 2001 and garnered the New York Film Critics awards for the Best Foreign Film. The movie is about two boys (portrayed by the artist Gael Garcia Bernal) who encountered an older and married woman named Luisa on a family activity. Attracted to her attractive face, they began boasting about an imaginary beach until they where cut off by a phone call from Luisa’s husband telling her that she was cheating on her. Luisa decided to go along with the two boys although the two has no idea of their destination.

During the long ride the two boys shared tales with Luisa regarding their adventurous sexual encounters. They had a hotel stop over and this is when Luisa bade her husband goodbye. The other boy saw her sobbing in her room and sought this as an opportunity to seduce her and they ended up in bed. Bernal’s character saw what happened at was angry to his friend for he also wanted Luisa.

Luisa then slept with him also the next day to even the score. The three resume the ride and found the imaginary beach with the same name on it. They frolicked and enjoyed the beach and had fun. They got drunk and slept together, the three of them that night. The next day Luisa woke up early to leave the two boys for good after which she made a last phone call to her husband bidding goodbye.
