Fast Food Part Time Jobs for Teens
Wednesday, April 8th, 2009If you are a teenager who is looking for some extra cash, your best bet is to get a part time job. You can choose from many different kinds of jobs. Unfortunately, you probably won’t find your dream job with high pay for easy work, but you can find something to make you some extra money.
You probably won’t be able to find a job paying 15 dollars an hour doing next to nothing, but if you look around you can find all sorts of different jobs out there. It depends on what you’re willing to do, can do, and can find to do.
One common place to work part time as a teenager is at a restaurant. It is common but not all restaurants are created equal. There are fast food restaurants, diners, semi- in between restaurants, and fancy restaurants.
Most likely, if you are young and this is your first job, you won’t be able to get a job at a fancy restaurant. If you want to do just about any job available there short of washing the floors, you need experience and you might have to be older, such as if you’re going to serve alcohol.
Diners aren’t exactly easy to get a job at, but it’s not impossible. You might able to get a job and start with hosting or clearing tables first and then later move on to waiting tables. It is also good experience if you want to move on to more expensive restaurants later that pay more.
Getting a job at a fast food restaurant is not hard. You probably see a lot of teens you’re age working at fast food places. These jobs don’t really require any skills, but they don’t pay that great either, so you have to keep that in mind.
You probably won’t love working at a fast food restaurant, nobody does. It can be stressful and sometimes you’ll have to deal with problems such as nasty customers and food problems. You will get paid though, and if you can handle all that, stick with it.
Working at any kind of restaurant is not easy. It takes a certain kind of person. If you are that person, get the job and stick with it. Over time you can work up your experience to get better paying jobs.
